Preparing for our departure

Today was our last full day in Colombia. Sadly, we had to say farewell to Alan, Daniel, Thomas & Anna Maria. But before they left we had breakfast with a friend of Anna Maria´s. Then we were able to have a share time at the missionaries appartment.

Then off we headed to a local Pastor´s house to hear of his work he has been doing. We visited with him, his wife and three of his children. He also shared with us picture of the people he has been ministering too.

The rest of the day consisted of some sight seeing, riding on the metro and a little bit of shopping. While at dinner, we met another U.S. group of missionaries which was very encouraging.

Now time for us to pack our bags and get ready for the trip home.

Pray again for our safety and for the sad goodbye´s we will encounter tomorrow. Pray that as we leave, the missionaries will feel blessed and encouraged by our work so that God can continue to use them in Colombia.

See you all soon!

Last day at Compassion

Just returned from the Compassion facility... So sad to say ¨Adios¨ to everyone. We had the opportunity to visit several homes of the children that we met. Some visits were great and very encouraging while others were very sad and heartbreaking. Please continue to pray for these childrens families.

Getting ready for dinner and then off we go again. Tonight we will have the opportunity to worship in the missionaries appartment. Please pray for this worship service and time together that it will honor God.

Alan, Daniel, Thomas & Anna Maria will be leaving us tomorrow as they head back to the U.S. Please pray for safe travels. Please continue to pray for our team as tomorrow will be the last full day that we will be here.

Blessings,
The Colombia Missions Team

Comp. Int.

Today we spent time at the Compassion International facility. Morning began early (around 5am) and off we went to the CI facility around 7:30am. We sang songs, acted out skits, made crafts and enjoyed sharing smiles and learning each others names. With each group we were able to present the Gospel and share with kids that God loves each and every one of them.

Right now a group is at a local Pastor´s house helping with their children and building a closet for them. Pray that the Pastor and his family will be blessed and encouraged by our helping hands.

Tomorrow will be very similar to today except tomorrow night we will be worshiping with the missionaries in their appartment.

Continue to pray for streangth within our group, as the days are long. Pray for God´s love to be shown through our smiles even if the children and people of Colombia aren´t able to understand everything we say.

Thank you for your prayers. God is opening doors for future trips, for ministry opportunities for the missionaries and for His word to be taken into homes that may not hear of Christ often.

Blessings,
The Colombia Missions Team

We´ve arrived!

We´ve arrived and all is well. Last night was fantastic. Many people joined us for a social at a local church. We played games, ate food, made crafts and most of all made friends. Many of these people had not been to church before, so praise the Lord for this event.

Today we will be visiting the Compassion Int. facility to conduct a mini-VBS with the children. Please keep us in your prayers.

Blessings to you all,
The Colombia Missions Team

We Refuse!

When you go to bed tonight remember to keep the Colombia Mission Team in your prayers. The group will be leaving at 3:30am from Wauchula. We hope to be able to post tomorrow to at least let you all know that we have arrived safely. Please continue to pray while we are gone and for our families too. We will see you all back in Florida late Friday night.

*Please keep in mind that we will not be able to reply to any comments while we are gone. Feel free to leave words of encouragement for our team, as we will have a time to share these with the group.*
